Finding IP address in command prompt is really simple. Just two three steps are involved

Steps  to find ip address of computer in command prompt

  • In Microsoft windows go to start and click on run
  • A small window will open
  • Type “command” in that
  • This will take you to a windows command prompt widow
  • In this command prompt window type “ipconfig” and press enter
  • You will get the following information on the screen:
    • IP address of the computer
    • Default gateway of the computer and
    • Subnet mask assigned to the computer
    • To close this command prompt window type exit
