- In Microsoft windows go to start and click on run
- A small window will open
- Type “command” in that
- This will take you to a windows command prompt widow
- In this command prompt window type “ipconfig” and press enter
- You will get the following information on the screen:
- IP address of the computer
- Default gateway of the computer and
- Subnet mask assigned to the computer
- To close this command prompt window type exit
